Familia Deicas Winery has a long history, dating back to before 1745 when the Jesuits acquired the land that is now known as Juanico Estate. 1830 marked the beginning of the wine-making legacy. The Deicas Family Era began in 1979 and continues today with its 3rd generation. They produce about 3 million bottles annually. In 1992, Preludio, Uruguay’s icon wine was born. It ages in an underground cellar built in stone by the Jesuits in 1745 and is now a National Historic Monum

This communal cooking class with hosts Aida and Bret was probably a highlight of my visit to Prague! It was an evening of food, wine and culture. Throughout the evening, Aida and Bret shared their knowledge and stories about Czech traditions and culture. We were greeted with a shot of Palinka (fruit brandy) and a lovely charcuterie board.
